Deeksha Week

17 to 23 August 2026

Monday to Sunday. Seven days of giving Deeksha.

To all Deeksha Givers

Return to the Teaching

Sit with it once more, and receive again.

The seventeenth of August marks the day the Deeksha phenomenon originated. From that day until the twenty-third, you may give Deeksha to the people around you, for the fulfilment of their heartfelt intentions.

As you give, miracles unfold. There is physical healing, and there is the healing of hearts. You do not only help others rise into a beautiful state and deepen their connection to the divine. You grow in your own state, and in your own connection, too.

The two procedures are set out below. Please keep this page at hand through the week.

What is Deeksha

Deeksha is not a meditation or a practice. It is not a technique or a tool. All these pertain to the realm of the human mind and human effort.

Deeksha is a divine phenomenon. It is a sacred moment when divine blessings and grace flow to you. Deeksha is a divine time, a divine act and a divine happening.

Deeksha is divine grace transmitted through touch or intention, a sacred energy that flows from the giver to the receiver, activating healing and transformation.

When you receive Deeksha, you become a channel, an instrument through which grace can flow and impact lives.

There are two kinds of Oneness Deeksha: Sparsha Deeksha (Hands-On Deeksha) and Smarana Deeksha (Intention Deeksha).

No matter what beliefs a person holds or which culture they belong to, Deeksha flows to the receiver.

For the receiver

Ask the receiver to sit still, slow their breath, and hold a clear intention for what they seek from the Divine. While receiving, they simply stay in a state of openness and gratitude.

The Procedure

Sparsha Deeksha

Touch Deeksha

  1. Sit with your spine erect in a sacred posture. Touch the tips of the index fingers to the tips of the thumbs, and rest them on your thighs, facing skywards. Bring your awareness to the heart centre and take seven conscious breaths into your heart space, to move into a state of calm.
  2. Connect to the divine. Visualise every cell of your body being filled with grace and power, and flowing into your hands.
  3. Gently place both hands on the receiver's head for thirty seconds. Visualise the divine blessings entering through the Brahma randhra, the spiritual opening at the top of the head, and settling into the receiver's heart.
  4. Express gratitude to the divine for the opportunity to serve another.

Smarana Deeksha

Intention Deeksha

  1. Sit with your spine erect and close your eyes. Touch the tips of the index fingers to the tips of the thumbs, and rest your palms on your thighs, facing skywards. Bring your awareness to the heart centre and take seven conscious breaths into your heart space, to move into a state of calm.
  2. Place your palms in namaskara mudra and connect with your divine, to manifest in you as compassion. Feel your heart becoming filled with the compassion of the divine.
  3. Hold the image of the receiver in front of your closed eyes. Feel that person. Connect with their intention compassionately. Ask your personal divine to bless them completely.
  4. Chant the Ekam mantra aloud, eleven times.

    Humsa Soham Ekam

    Eleven times

  5. Keeping your palms joined, see grace flowing and filling every cell of your body with power.
  6. Visualise or feel the divine blessings entering through the receiver's Brahma randhra, the spiritual opening at the top of their head, and entering their heart.
  7. You may relax your palms, and allow yourself and the receiver to remain in silence for a few minutes.
  8. Express gratitude to the divine for the blessings.

Let what you have received flow through you.

This is your contribution to the consciousness of humanity.
