The Tapas Practice
Tapas Deepening is a deep, immersive practice. These guidelines protect the sacred container of the program for you and for every fellow seeker.
Silence is mandatory throughout Tapas
Please refrain from verbal conversation, unnecessary gestures, and written communication. Mauna supports inner reflection and the deepest possible transformation.
Please keep your phone turned off
We encourage you to leave your phone turned off and in your room for the duration of your stay. Wi-Fi is available should you need it.
Only essential items inside the hall
Only your name tag and a handkerchief are needed inside the Mandala Hall. Please leave bags, phones, and other belongings outside.
No photography or recording is permitted in the meditation halls. Please be punctual for every session.
Full attendance in all sessions
Participation in all sessions is mandatory. Full attendance is essential to receive the complete benefit of the transformative Tapas journey, unless excused by your Dasas.
Documents to Bring
Please bring the following with you to registration.
Check-in & Check-out
Arrive the day before · Check-in from 4:00 PM
Please plan to arrive the previous day, in good time. Check-in opens at 4:00 PM, and dinner is served from 7:00 to 8:00 PM (CET). The program begins early the next morning, so arriving the evening before lets you settle in and begin the journey rested and unhurried.
Check-out at 10:00 AM
Check-out is at 10:00 AM on the day following the end of your course — whether you join for three, six, or nine days — with breakfast provided that morning. If you wish to stay a few days before or after, please arrange this in advance with [email protected].
What to Bring
Mid-October in Skåne is autumnal — cool days, shortening daylight, and a mix of sun and rain. As they say here: there is no bad weather, only the wrong clothing. Please also dress modestly and comfortably for the practice.
Bring warm layers for an autumn climate: a woollen jumper or fleece, a waterproof jacket, a scarf, hat, and gloves, and warm socks. The centre is well heated indoors, with blankets provided.
Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes for the forest paths and grounds.
White or off-white, loose clothing — tops with sleeves and bottoms covering the knees — for sessions.
A Rudraksha Mala (108 beads) for chanting, a notebook and pen, and a reusable water bottle.
Personal toiletries, lip balm and moisturiser for the dry autumn air, a travel umbrella, a torch, and any personal medications. Please note that makeup is not allowed.
Please avoid perfumes and colognes out of respect for fellow seekers with sensitivities. Candles and incense are not permitted, in line with the centre's fire regulations.
Translation Services
The course is conducted in English. Translation is arranged by each language group. If a group requires translation for your language, the details will be shared through the Tapas WhatsApp group.
Dining at Oneness Nordic
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included for course participants, freshly prepared in the centre's five-star kitchen.
Three Meals Daily
Three nourishing vegetarian and vegan meals each day — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — prepared in the centre's five-star kitchen to support your Tapas journey. On arrival day, dinner is served from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. Lunch is eaten in silence as part of the practice.
Oneness Café
Oneness Café serves coffee, tea, and refreshments through the day. Refilling stations are provided across the centre — please bring a reusable bottle.
Centre Facilities & Services
Single, double, and triple rooms with private bathrooms, and dormitories with newly renovated shared facilities. Every room has its own unique decor.
Stable Wi-Fi is available throughout, though we encourage you to keep your phone off during the practice.
Outdoor parking is available at the centre for those arriving by car.
Self-service washing machines are available at the centre, with an iron in a common area. There is no laundry service, so we suggest bringing enough clothing for the full event — you may not have time to do laundry.
An on-site boutique for essentials and keepsakes during your stay.
Mithra volunteers, in their yellow scarves, support your practical needs throughout your stay.
Special Ceremonies & Sessions
Transformative experiences available with additional registration.
Homa
A sacred fire ritual for cleansing and connection, conducted online during Tapas.

Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
Train & Bus via Skånetrafiken, then Taxi
Buy a Skånetrafiken ticket — at an airport machine or in the Skånetrafiken app — to Hörby Gamla Torg. This covers the train and bus fares across the Öresund and on to Hörby. From Hörby Gamla Torg, take a taxi for the final short leg to the centre.
Direct from Copenhagen, or Self-Drive
You may take a taxi or rideshare directly from Copenhagen Airport to the centre — we recommend pre-booking. If you are driving, outdoor parking is available on site. For help arranging your transport, please write to [email protected].
Entry to Sweden — Schengen Visa

If a Schengen visa is required
Apply through the Swedish embassy or consulate (or its visa centre) in your country, allowing several weeks for processing. You will typically need a passport valid for at least three months beyond your stay, proof of accommodation and travel, and travel insurance. If you require an invitation or confirmation letter to support your application, please write to [email protected] after you have registered for the course.

The Land — Skåne
Oneness Nordic rests in the quiet countryside of Skåne — the sacred ground on which your Tapas unfolds.
A Former Temple Among Ancient Trees
At the end of a quiet forest road in Jönstorp, near Hörby, lies Oneness Nordic — the European Center for Enlightenment, a satellite of Ekam in India. Set around a peaceful former Buddhist temple, the centre is surrounded by woodland, scenic lakes, soft mosses, and open lawns, with countless Buddhas within and around the grounds.
Far from city light pollution, the night skies reveal star constellations rarely seen in urban areas. As autumn deepens, the trees turn through their colours, and the stillness of the land draws the mind naturally inward.
Beyond Tapas — The Best of Skåne
A curated selection for those who wish to experience the very best of the region before or after their Tapas days — its finest tables, its loveliest places for coffee and breakfast, its castles and countryside, and the night sky. Drive times are approximate; please reserve the celebrated tables well ahead.
Vollmers
The region's flagship table — an intimate, whitewashed townhouse on a cobbled Old Town street, where the Vollmer brothers serve a refined, deeply personal surprise menu rooted in Skåne. Book well ahead. Approx. 55–60 min.
VYN
Daniel Berlin's destination restaurant in an old farmhouse overlooking the Baltic near Simrishamn, with a boutique hotel and wine bar alongside. A seasonal menu drawn from the surrounding land. Approx. 1 hr 10 min.
Lyran Matbar
A relaxed, intimate room where daily tasting menus — mixed, pescetarian, or vegetarian — are built from the best local produce. Modern Swedish cooking without ceremony. Approx. 55–60 min.
Copenhagen
The Nordics' leading Michelin city lies just across the bridge, on the way to the airport. Its three-star icons include Geranium — among the very best tables in the world — alongside Jordnær and Kadeau, with two stars at AOC, Alchemist, Kong Hans Kælder and Koan. Reserve the celebrated rooms months ahead.
Solde Kaffebar
Widely regarded as the city's finest cup — an Italian-inspired bar with its own roastery, award-winning baristas, and house-baked croissants. Take home a bag of their Mästers blend.
Lilla Kafferosteriet
Malmö's oldest micro-roastery, in a beautiful 17th-century townhouse with a tranquil courtyard — an award-winning spot for a slow, considered fika.
Love Coffee Roasters
Lund's standout roaster, with two bright coffee bars in the city — freshly roasted single origins and blends, and the place locals send you for the best brew in town.
Patisserie Botan
The prettiest café in Lund, set beside the lily pond in the botanical gardens — coffee and pastries surrounded by nature. Check seasonal hours before you visit.
St. Jakobs Stenugnsbageri
A beloved stone-oven bakery with terraces across the city — sourdough, cheese, and the cardamom buns Malmö is quietly famous for. The classic Swedish breakfast.
Ruths
A restaurant and deli voted the city's best bakery — a refined choice for a leisurely breakfast or brunch.
Fulltofta Nature Center
The nearest great escape into nature — a large network of forest and lakeside trails, part of the Skåneleden path, with a café for fika. Closed Mondays.
Bosjökloster Castle
A fairytale former monastery on Lake Ringsjön, with rose gardens, a lakeside café, and grounds to wander. Open daily. One of the loveliest afternoons nearby.
Lund — Old Town & Cathedral
One of Sweden's oldest towns: a 12th-century Romanesque cathedral with a famous medieval astronomical clock, cobbled streets, and a celebrated coffee scene.
Malmö — Västra Hamnen & Öresund
The waterfront district with the Turning Torso, harbour walks, and sweeping views to the Öresund Bridge and Copenhagen beyond.
Stargazing here, and the aurora further north
Oneness Nordic sits far from city light pollution, and on a clear autumn night the skies reveal star constellations rarely seen in urban areas — a quiet wonder in itself after a day of practice.
The northern lights, however, are rare this far south in Sweden — visible across Skåne only a handful of nights each year, and only when solar activity is strong. Mid-October does bring long, dark nights, and the sun is presently near the peak of its eleven-year cycle, so the chance is better than usual; but the aurora can never be promised.
For a near-certain encounter, consider a dedicated journey to Swedish Lapland — to Abisko, often called the northern lights capital of Europe, or to Kiruna — before or after your Tapas.
